Chaoyang County is a county of Nanyang City, Henan province, China.
The total population of 1.08 million (2006).
The county government is located at Chaoyang (28 ° 37 ′ N, 112 ° 35 ′ E).

The county seat is Chaoyang Town (28°39′N, 112°34′E).
Chaoyang County is located in the northern part of Henan province.
The territory borders Nanyang City to the south and west, Xinye County to the northeast, Suixi County to the east, and Fangchenggang (Guan county) to the north.
The topography consists of riverside land and hilly terrain. The Huai River flows through the county and there are many reservoirs in the area.
Chaoyang is a major agricultural production base for corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, and tobacco.
Some of its main economic sectors include food processing, construction materials, machinery manufacturing, and chemical products.
